du Toit from South Africa is the world's first disabled swimmer who competes in the Olympics in Beijing 2008. Her leg was amputated due to a road accident in 2001 when she was 17. She finished 16th out of 24 in 10 km swim in Beijing. She is also the winner of 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal of Athens 2004 Paralympics, the olympics for disabled people. Her motto is "Be everything you want to be."
